The AJA 12G-AMA mini-converter is an analog audio embedder/disembedder with 12G-SDI input and output supporting up to UHD 4K60/DCI 4K60. It also features an SPF slot where SPFs such as the AJA FIBERLC-TR-12G can be user-installed at a later time to support single-mode fiber I/O with LC or ST connectors.
The converter has a 25-pin port for an included breakout cable that offers 4-channel XLR audio input and output. The audio disembedding feature is constantly functional. Audio embedding is user selectable, on a channel pair basis, to either pass 12G-SDI input audio or embed input analog audio from the breakout cable. Analog audio levels are selectable.
The converter interacts with the AJA Mini-Config software over a USB connection. The application is compatible with PC and Mac and is provided as a free download from the AJA website.
