With a thick lining and artificial wool, it is designed to improve sound quality in outdoor scenes by significantly reducing wind noise. Attaching to the camera via the accessory shoe, it sports protective rubber pads in the bottom to reduce rattling and features a shoe mount of its own on the top, so you're not prevented from using any other accessories while using the windscreen.
